Description

The two-piece, Mega Batten Clamp is great way to hang 1-1/2″ pipe. The tight compression fit keeps pipe from rotating within the clamp. The Mega Batten Clamp wraps around the pipe batten on both sides and fastens with two 5/16″-18 TPI socket cap screws using a 1/4″ hex driver. Hand tighten the bolt next to the 1/2″ hole until the top of the two pieces are flat against each other. Then install the other bolt and tighten to just 3 foot pounds, do not overtighten. Secure to structural supports through nominal 1/2″ hole at top of clamp with up to a 7/16″ shackle pin, quick link, or turnbuckle jaw. CNC Machined 3/16″ thick x 2″ wide 6061T-6 Aluminum.

When securing to truss, be sure to tighten the long side first.
